About the Philosophy
i3pep.org is an intellectual website and aims to further thinking, understanding, reason and insight through dissemination and analysis of vital issues relating to human affairs. It is a Non Profit and Voluntary effort.
This website believes that knowledge knows no barriers and everyone has a right to information and knowledge. It believes that knowledge should be brought to the open and accessible to all. Moreover, some of the issues of human knowledge are fundamental to development of human society. These issues and fields of knowledge should be freely accesible to people so that they are able to understand themselves and the society in a better way and positively contribute to the development of society around themselves.
The website also aims to fill the gap of theory and the reality, and bridge the differences between the macro and the micro issues. This website is meant for everyone who seek objectivity and rationality in information and knowledge. To analyse and understand the reality of life, where all the theories and fields of knowledge is played out live and in real time - we need most Imagination, Ideas and Innovation to seek a world of Peace, Equality and Prosperity for all.
The philosophy of i3pep.org derives from the philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore, the national poet of India and Nobel Laureate, whose one poem in his book Gitanjali (XXXV) expresses this philosophy very cogently:
Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up
into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where word comes out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms
towards perfection;…
For i3pep.org ‘liberty’ or ‘freedom’ are not mere concepts. It has to be realised in reality. The words - ‘Freedom’ and ‘Liberty’ by itself doesn’t mean much. A free person can be as much in bondage, if s/he doesn’t have some basic prerequisites. As Rousseau had written in the opening lines of his famous essay Social Contract - “Man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains". Freedom and Liberty are values that are dependent on certain variables. Of these the most important ones are Peace, Equality and Prosperity. Only when individuals are able to attain these values, they would have automatically attained their freedom and liberty.
i3pep.org subscribes to certain core values of peace, equality, prosperity, liberty, rationality and progressiveness. But it does not subscribe to any ideology - it is non commital on the various ideologies, and would prefer to analyse them by independent evaluation on situational and case by case basis in an objective manner.
i3pep.org does not stand for, nor does it subscribe to any ‘ism’ - it is not a political website.
Aims and Objectives
i3pep.org is a website related to research, information and education. It aims to further education and research objectives at the global level. This website aims to be resource base that would synthsise academic as well as practical dimensions. The attempt is also to find synthesis of social sciences and technological innovation and management practices for generating ideas for peace, equality and prosperity.
The various fields of knowledge are interlinked. The development of human beings have been a direct consequence of its greater understanding of different areas of knowledge. However as the specialization increases, it so happens that the connecting links get missed out. The primacy of the ‘human being’ is lost to the technicalities of the field of study. This website aims to address such issues by interlinking the different fields in its various dimensions.
The aim of i3pep.org is to become a website of demystification of knowledge, and informed information dissemination. This doesn’t mean censorship, but it means that this website would not host anything relating to hate or propaganda, as such things are not part of the normal values of humanity, progress and development. It is with such perspective that various writings would be hosted and the different issues of relevance be analysed.
