i3pep stands for Imagination Ideas Innovation for Peace Equality Prosperity. The focus of i3pep.org * india point is Social Sciences and issues related to it – whether research oriented or experiential. This is an intellectual website and aims to further thinking, understanding, reason and insight through dissemination and analysis of vital issues relating to human affairs. This website is a creation of voluntary effort. The articles on this website are an attempt to understand the people, society, culture – simply stated the various dimensions of civilization. The articles are in both academic and non-academic forms, including articles of critique nature on such related issues. i3pep.org is a resource website. This is the place where resources of different kinds – academic, non-academic and resources based on personal experience can be found. The Resource Area contains articles related to different fields. This can be checked through the topics referred under “Tags” or under “Categories”. Many of these articles have also been published in print. Special care has been taken for ease of navigation.
Website Anniversary

The website is today two years young. I congratulate the members and patrons and the visitors who have made this possible. Its time for party! Incidentally today is also Ganesh Chaturthi – the same star configuration as it was two years back. Time has a strange way of progressing as well as repeating.
So an appraisal is well sought for. The website has posted many useful articles in the past year. Infact the real progress was made in the past year as the blog system was implemented. This has made life easier for the site admin 
The past year has been an year of experiments, when lots of softwares were tried out. It has also been quite a learning experience. I can well say, that now the website has reached stability in terms of technicalities. The structure of the website in terms of ease and clarity of navigation has been arrived after much thought. The ease of navigating the website is a real delight – one is able to access information in a real easy manner. Also, the navigation is very easy to understand and user friendly.
The appearance, navigation, search, sitemap and feedback form – some of the important ingredients for a website has been implemented with care. Search facility is available on all the webpages. The sitemap looks nice, feedback form is robust. Much of the past effort has also gone towards the appearance of the website, and I am happy to say that the appearance of the website has become attractive and friendlier.
And the king of all – the content is as useful as ever. Some of the articles have been recategorised for better classification as to the theme of the article. More content is going to be added in the next few months, and many useful resources, many of which are published would be posted – that is going to be a real readers delight. Need I say more?
Yes! One thing I must mention. On occasion of second anniversary of this website, the website has now also been made available in the mobile version. You can see the link to the mobile edition on the top right corner of every page. Now the visitors can easily access the contents of this website through their mobile phones and other hand-held devices without worrying about the access costs.

Five Years And Still On

The website i3pep.org * india point is nearing completion of five long years. And it is still existing. Five years may be short or long duration, but its meaning-fullness is reflected by the site having over one hundred entries, which are informative and scholarly.
When I had initially launched the website, I had never thought that it would continue for five years! But maintaining the website and writing on it has been a great learning experience.
For past few months the website could not be updated due to important works in the real world that took up the time, and hardly left with time or energy to spend over what is largely a hobby website. Despite of this, the website kept on its existence and from the server logs, it was quite evident that users found it useful. Even the bookmark rate of the site has increased to a high level.
Also, the site received large number of emails regarding advice and suggestions, which showed that the site has its own niche.
One change that was done in the meantime, was the Contact Page, where the email form was removed. Due to large number of spam, this became necessary. However the same would be revived sometime in the future, using some form of captcha tool. But for the time being the users can always directly send email from their own email-id.
The site would again be maintained on a regular basis, with informative and scholarly articles. As always, the site would remain ad-free.
Another thing that is to be done is integration of Google Apps with this website, which would be done shortly. This would also make available email with large inbox for the members / users of the website.
Certain Policy Changes for the Website

The website i3pep.org * india point is under transformation. The transformation is hopefully for better.
Firstly while it would retain its design, it would incorporate the new features of the web like Google Friend Network, the AddThis feature. All this would make the site visitor able to communicate with and communicate about the website.
Apart from this various fields of study are specialized and need special emphasis based on content synergy and interlinking of ideas. It has been felt that while i3pep.org * india point fulfilled it to some extent – it was becoming a repository of articles that did not have synergy and left the readers a bit bewildered.
Consequently, it has been decided that i3pep.org * india point shall focus exclusively on issues and ideas relating to social sciences.
Therefore some articles relating to category ‘Business’, ‘Miscellaneous’ and ‘Tech’ would be transferred to sister website IndiaPoint.Net. Particularly, some of the articles of the ‘Business’ category would be shifted to CA Blog at IndiaPoint.Net
The objective of IndiaPoint.Net is to develop it as a portal on which many specialized blogs shall be hosted.
The transfer of articles shall definitely take bit of time – and eventhough there is the SEO issue – even if that means taking a beating at the searchengines – the changes shall be effected.
Afterall, these websites were never meant to be commercial and never thought of from the angle of search engines – which shall robot it in due course of time.
I hope this shall bring in a greater vibrancy for both the sites and better coherence for i3pep.org * india point.

The website has now been completely redesigned. This site is now totally focused on Social Science related topics. All pages are now print friendly, and the pages can now also be saved in pdf format.

The website is now part of the India Point Web Network. This itself is a voluntary effort. However the different sites under the network deal with specialised field of knowledge. Also, all these sites are well connected through easy navigation.
